Running: 14 July 2010 - On The Road Again

OK, it's been a few days since I posted...'bout as many as I have skipped running.  I got back at it this morning with the Madison County Milers.  It was a sticky, sweltering and steamy, sauna-istic 36 minutes.  I would not do too well in Hell - especially if it is humid.  Anyway, I put in 4.3 miles this morning.  Nice to have the music.  I am going to see if it is possible to download 8 minute pace MP3s or something like that.  Surely, they exist..Jeff?

I think it might be time to spice up the workouts a bit.  I'll consult with Coach to see what might on order.  I probably should start some speed work to help get my pace built up a bit.  It would be nice to get in the 8 minute zone - lower end would be great.  I think I'll also do some off-road cross training.  The city park has some nice hilly trails and gravel out to the tower.

I hope the heat breaks soon.  Our water bill is starting to show my consumption...See you folks down the road.

myk
